Resolutions

The San Francisco Democratic Party debates and approves resolutions that alert the public as to its positions on important issues. These resolutions usually involve matters of local or statewide importance, legislation before another political body, or actions taken by government agencies that it wishes to encourage or denounce. Here are the resolutions I’ve written or co-authored:

March 2015 – Resolution of the San Francisco Democratic Party Calling for the Elimination of the Personal Belief Exemption for Vaccinations

January 2015 – Resolution of the San Francisco Democratic Party Honoring the San Francisco Bay Guardian for its 48 Years of Printing the News and Raising Hell

March 2013 – Resolution in Support of Closing the Prop 13 Loophole

February 2013 – Resolution Calling Upon the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the State Legislature to Take Immediate Action to Reduce Gun Violence in America

January 2013 –  Support for the Celebration of Women, Life and Liberty in San Francisco on the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

April 2012 – Resolution of the San Francisco Democratic Party In Support of AB 2312 (Medical Cannabis)

March 2012 – Resolution of the San Francisco Democratic Party in Favor of AB 1648, the California DISCLOSE Act 

January 2012 – Resolution of the San Francisco Democratic Party Declaring Its Opposition to the United States Supreme Court’s Decision in Citizens United v Federal Election Commission and Supporting a Constitutional Amendment to Overturn Citizens United
